RE: Brand of Tow Dolly

We have a Demco Kar Kaddy. Works very well. Make sure the caddy has the right dimensions for your front tire span (i.e. the length from the outside of one tire to the other outside dimension). Bought mine use locally using crag's list.

RE: Leveling A Dish Tripod

You just move the legs one way or the other after placing the auger-like device in the ground and attaching the tripod to it with the bungee cord.

RE: Dead Batteries in Seneca

I have an 05 34SS Seneca that exhibited the same problem. I tied it to not using the parking brake - seems that parking brake disables a compressor for the air container located just under the driver's seat. I ensure I use the parking brake (at least a little) when parked for any length of time. The official cure is to take the truck to Chevrolet and let them fix it, I just keep forgetting. Mike kc2kj

RE: Jayco Seneca questions

I have had the 34SS since August 2005 and have been very pleased. I opted for the version with the full bed in the cab overhang. Any problems have been quickly handled by the dealer, Jayco, or Chevrolet quickly and with a minimum of bother. I have had no problem with the quality of ride, much better than the 25 foot Itasca C we had before. The overall quality of the components is superb; there are no obvious cheap components. The rear springs are holding up; I have been watching for problems and, so far, have none. We had a SAT Dish installed by the selling dealer and it has had no problem. The PC we use for GPS works well once we installed the GPS antenna underneath the fan cover atop the overhang. The Sirius radio works well. The Pyrometer EGT gauge installed in the blank meter position next to the transmission temperature gauge works well. I do run a Predator Tune (40 HP addition), and have logged 9.5 mpg while towing a Saturn SW2 toad.

RE: DeLorme Earthmate

I mount the remote antenna under the vent window of the exhaust fan in my C. Use a usb extension cable and route the cable through some of the existing holes of the fantastic fan so that the antenna is mounted closest to the hinge of the vent window proper so no rain gets to the antenna. The Fantastic fan automatically closes the vent window when it rains, so I don't worry about rain.

You obviously checked the fuse panel I assume.
